My name is Kristen Debler. I have a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a Masters of Science in Legal Studies. I am currently working on a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.
I have been a poet, a creative writer and a novelist my whole life. I have always loved to read and to tell stories. I love the different things that you can do with words. They paint a picture in my soul and I have to get them out on paper.
Currently I am a Copywriter, creative writing tutor, a proof reader, a writer, a poet, a reviewer and a blogger. I have a background in creating documents in a professional, legal and academic setting. I have experience in writing articles, and Public Relations for community events. In college I was the Diversity Columnist for the School newspaper: The Hilltop Herald.
I have experience in teaching literacy and ESL to adult learners, which has given me a lot of experience in the English language. I am very fammilar with grammar, spelling, sentence structure and syntax.
I live in Orange County, California with my best friend and her family. I am a tribal member of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria (Coast Miwok) from Marin and Sonoma Counties (Northeast of San Francisco). I believe that a lot of the stories I have to tell are because of my tradition. I think that I was supposed to be a storyteller in another life.
I created this site to show others my passion for writing. I will be keeping up a blog about my personal journey as well as post new articles, poems, short stories and more.
I am attaching my resume. Please contact me with any opportunities.
